How to Enjoy 

Morning Prayer

●The morning prayer is conducted in the order of "sutra reading" followed by "Oshoukou".

The time is about 30 minutes from 06:30 every morning, and you are free to participate.

Please refer to the following for a brief explanation of the meaning and etiquette.

About clothing and photography

Yukata and loungewear are prohibited as attire.

In winter, it gets cold, so we recommend wearing a down jacket or coat.

Photography is allowed, but please refrain from using flash or sound.

About sutra reading

The sutra chanting is to express our gratitude to the Buddha, for the safety of those who come to our clinic, and for the memorial service for the deceased,

We chant the sutras with all our hearts every day.

We chant the "Rishu-kyo" sutra.

About Oshoukou

Oshoukou is a ceremony in which incense is dropped into an incense burner to release its fragrance.

The burning of incense has the effect of purifying one's own mind,

It is meant to purify the mind and body before facing the Buddha or the deceased.

The procedure is as follows

(1) Step in front of the incense burner and bow. After this, voluntarily place your donation in the donation box.

(2) Pick up the incense with your right hand and press it to your forehead.

(3) Gently place the incense on the charcoal in the censer.

(4) Gassho (join hands).

About Donations

Please voluntarily place your donation in the donation box when you burn incense.

When making a donation, please chant one wish from your heart. The Buddha will listen.

*The money you donate will be used for temple repairs and operations.

*If you are able to make a donation of 500 yen or more, please notify our staff upon check-in. We will present you with a prayer card.
